In my many hours of looking for products to tell you all about, I found something that was not only clever but could save someone’s life too.



Why or how can something I reviewed do that?



Pardon Moi has a vast line of products for everyone. Items that caught my eye were for allergy sufferers. The line is open to quite a bit of health related issues from diabetes, to autism, dietary restrictions, custom allergy shirt, in addition to the nuts, eggs, dairy and much more. When sending a child off to a party, do they all want to tell you they can’t have that ice cream? Probably not, so here is your solution. The Art of Fun

If you are a kid, life is all about fun. You want school to be fun, you want lunch to be fun, and you want chores to be fun. Life needs to be fun.

As parents, we often lose sight of that. The arduous demands of work, whether at the office or at home, and the mundane tasks that fill our days can all but eliminate our ability to find the joy in these daily events.

Fortunately, Jeeto! is here to help us all in more ways than you can imagine, and they’ll make sure you have fun along the way.

However, while the art is fantastic, it is the way Jeeto! puts that art to use that will bring parents to a state of euphoria.

Jeeto! is the product of various inspirations, including images that conjure memories of youth produced in styles reminiscent of more modern pop or graffiti styles. Whether it is the homemade tree house set firmly in the upper reaches of the elm tree in the back yard, the animals we visit at the local zoo, the steam engine trains that run on tracks we build in our living rooms, or the cupcakes we yearn to shares with friends at our birthday parties, the images are ingrained in our memories and now are honored on the canvas artworks of Jeeto!

To be honest, when I first heard from the fine folks at Jeeto!, I didn’t put too much thought into it… while it sounded great, there are so many folks out there making t-shirts and such for our kids, it didn’t strike me that this would be an example too far off the beaten path. The artwork is certainly a different offering, and they were very gracious in sending me a wonderful screen piece of a drum set for my daughter (she LOVES music and is so proud to have that in her room).

However, when the shirt arrived, I was taken back a bit. They sent a couple of shirts, one for each of my daughters to put to use and test out… and they love them. However, the images strike me.

The first, worn by my youngest, carries a picture of a tree house in a large elm tree. I once had a play place just like that as a child, and the wonderful memories of my youth, experiences and events that I have not thought about for so many years, all came rushing back. The emotion of love for that tree house… I had forgotten that feeling so long ago, and this shirt reminded me of the fun I used to enjoy back then.

The other shirt, worn by my oldest, carries a picture a campsite, and once again, the memories of my youth and the innocence, laughter, and unadulterated pleasure I once enjoyed as child camping with my family came to mind. It is a great shirt and my lil’ girl loves it to death… but for me, that image carries so much more meaning and allows me to remember a time when life was much easier, and those are experiences I pass down to my children today.


To add one more positive note to this review, I would be remiss if I didn’t note one more OUTSTANDING feature the folks at Jeeto! have to offer.

So many of our children struggle with allergies and various dietary concerns that few realize could be an issue. To help in the crusade for health, Jeeto! has come up with several pieces of artwork that translate those concerns and needs in a highly informative yet fashionable way. T-shirts with stylish emblems warning of our children’s dietary restrictions, such as “No Peanuts Please,” or “Dairy Free,” or “Gluten Free”. There is a wide assortment of such warnings available on not only t-shirts, but also as patches that can be purchased and sewn on to backpacks or clothes or other articles your children might wear. It is a brilliant idea, and for this Jeeto! gets a huge round of applause from us at Mom In The Know.

For those about to Rock - we will wear you

A green, ribbed tank top with a pink electric guitar can you say adorable on my littlest one? The stars and guitars shirt is on sale right now at www.slicksugar.com!

I have the epitome of girly girl - the hair and nails have to be done; everything must match. However, when I got said shirt in the mail from www.slicksugar.com, it was fair game in this house. My older one - she’s my little alternative girl – wanted it because this shirt is so her style. Nope, the little one took it. It’s one of the things a tester didn’t get as it was in one of their sizes. Score, as the older one said.



Aside from the unique style www.slicksugar.com provides, their quality is above standards. The stars and the guitar didn’t even look like they had been washed after several washings, no faded colors, no shrinking. And I’ll be honest, I didn’t follow the instructions on the site, I went and did it my own way and the garment still held up. I do wash it inside out now though.

With so many unique designs ranging in sizes from 3-6 month all the way up to 6 years, you are pretty well covered. On the site, there is a great sizing chart to help you along if you have any doubts about what you may need because we all know sizes vary!

The penguin off my back

Did you ever wonder, “What’s a unique way to teach my child about animals and the alphabet?” So did the designers at biome5. These colorful, enjoyable t-shirts for children (why not adults??) are inspired. Where else will you get a newt for the letter “N”? In addition, the coolest part about it is the letter and the animal are one! “C” is for camel! “W” is for walrus!



I opened the package from biome5 and heard screams of delight for a “P” pink penguin shirt. Sizes range from 2T-6T. She received a 6T, which fit my daughter who is six and is usually a small in shirts. She wore it proudly. The shirt was loose in all the right places, not tight in the shoulders or belly like moms worry about! I did my mom tests; I pulled at it, washed it in hot water, and dried it on the hottest setting. Still the same size. Oh, now I had ‘em! Organic cotton, my daughter is allergic to synthetic fabrics! I’ll sniff ‘em out! No reactions at all. I’ve had several companies claim to be 100% cotton, or organic and we still get rashes and find out there is just a little bit of “something” in there. Not biome5.



Biome5 products are tagless (love it!), preshrunk, 100% certified organic cotton, made in the good old US of A, and as it says on their own website in sweatshop-free environments. They do recommend the larger size if your child is between measurements as t-shirts are made to fit.
